Zonda Tec Ghana Limited is a leading  automobile assembling and sales company in Ghana. We operate a dedicated 4S store (Sales, Service, Spare Parts, Survey) and service stations for our brands including GWM, Chery, DongFeng, Shantui, and Sitrak. We are committed to providing efficient after-sales support through robust parts availability.

Location: Tema, Ghana

Reports To: Project Manager 

Role Overview

As a Civil Engineer at Zonda Tec Ghana Limited, you will be the technical backbone of our projects. You will liaise with clients, architects, and subcontractors to drive projects from conception to completion. Your role will involve managing technical studies, developing detailed designs using specialized software, and resolving complex design and development problems to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design & Planning: Utilize a comprehensive range of standard computer software to develop detailed designs, specifications, and plans for construction projects.
  • Technical Analysis: Undertake complex calculations to ensure structural integrity, cost-effectiveness, and feasibility of designs.
  • Procurement: Compile detailed job specifications and supervise tendering procedures to select appropriate contractors and suppliers.
  • Project Management: Manage project budgets and allocate resources effectively to ensure financial targets are met.
  • Scheduling & Compliance: Ensure projects run smoothly, adhering to strict timelines and completing structures within budget.
  • Sustainability: Assess the sustainability and environmental impact of projects, ensuring compliance with modern environmental standards.
  • Logistics: Schedule material and equipment purchases and deliveries to ensure seamless project workflow.
  • Health & Safety: Enforce and ensure that all project activities conform to legitimate health and safety requirements and local regulations.

Required Skills or Experience

Qualifications

  • Education: BSc Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of post-graduation experience, specifically in road construction and civil infrastructure projects.
  • Certification: Must be a registered member of the Ghana Institution of Engineers (GhIE).

  • Analytical Thinking: Excellent problem-solving skills with a sound grasp of mathematical, scientific, and IT principles.
  • Time Management: Proven ability to work to strict deadlines and within defined budgets.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain an overview of entire projects while continuing to attend to detailed technicalities.
  • Leadership: Strong negotiation, supervisory, and leadership skills to manage diverse teams.
  • Methodical Approach: The ability to think methodically and manage complex projects efficiently.
  • Industry Expertise: In-depth experience in road works and civil infrastructure.
