The Branch Manager will be responsible for the overall leadership, profitability, growth, and risk management of the branch. This includes supervising staff, driving deposit mobilization, managing credit portfolios, ensuring regulatory compliance, and building strong community relationships.The Branch Manager will be responsible for the overall leadership, profitability, growth, and risk management of the branch. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee daily branch operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to bank policies. 
  • Drive business development to grow customer base, deposits, and quality loan portfolio. 
  • Lead, train, and supervise branch staff to achieve performance targets. 
  • Ensure strict compliance with Bank of Ghana regulations, ARB Apex Bank standards, and internal controls. 
  • Manage credit risk: loan appraisal, disbursement, monitoring, and recovery. 
  • Prepare and submit accurate financial and operational reports to management. 
  • Represent the bank in local community events and stakeholder meetings. 
  • Maintain high standards of customer service and resolve client issues promptly.

Required Skills or Experience

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE 

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. 
  • Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIB Ghana) is an added advantage. 
  • At least 3–5 years of banking experience, with a minimum of a years in a supervisory or management role, preferably in a rural/community bank. 
  • Knowledge of banking software (T24) is required. 
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of Dagbanli and/or other local languages spoken in the Northern Region is a strong advantage.

?KEY COMPETENCIES 

  • Strong leadership and team management skills 
  • Excellent sales, marketing, and deposit mobilization abilities 
  • Sound credit risk assessment and loan recovery skills 
  • Good knowledge of Bank of Ghana’s rural/community banking regulations 
  • Effective communication and community engagement skills 
  • High integrity and ability to work under pressure
