Job Summary

The Mission Support Supervisor provides professional Facility management services to the mission. Assist in preventing building deterioration and maximize building life through judicious application of operations and maintenance processes and standards. Coordinates and reports, ensuring missionary facility needs are met. Is a people manager that supervises other employees, including mission home attendants, drivers and mission facilities assistants, among others.

Responsibilities

Facilities and Construction Management

    • Scopes and manages building maintenance projects
    • Manages resources and assigns work to vendors to execute projects as planned meeting course quality and timeliness objectives
    • Anticipates upcoming facility mission needs and manages them appropriately

Property Management

    • Negotiates apartment leases renewals and closures
    • Performs inspections of mission facilities to ensure compliance with approved standards

Relationship Management

    • Meets regularly with the mission president to understand mission needs.
    • Maintain a strong leadership with mission leaders’ missionaries and other employees and vendors support services department to address fleet needs.

People Management

    • Manages the work of other employees such as mission drivers and mission home attendants
    • In partnership with HR hires or terminates employees and recommends promotion or other changes of status for those reporting to them
    • Conduct annual performance reviews approve expenses in partnership with HR handles issues such as onboarding time off request and worker accident claims

Inventory Management

    • Maintains inventory of church-owned furnishings and other proper disposal of excess and unserviceable supplies.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Must be a member of the Church and worthy of a temple recommend.
  • Minimum of A bachelor's degree in facilities management or a related course.
  • Should have at least two years of facilities management experience.
  • Two or more of driving experience with a good driving record, with a valid driver's license class “C” or above. The candidate should have practical driving experience and be capable of driving safely on regular routes within the mission. A good understanding of local traffic rules is necessary.
  • Must have knowledge in facilities and property management construction procedure business practices and safety and fire codes.
  • Must have exposure to frontline management skills in a multidisciplinary work environment.
  • Able to communicate professionally with mission leaders’, employees, contractors and vendors
  • Must understand and be able to use Microsoft Office Applications, internet services, and wireless communications
