About the Role
The Dispatch Rider plays a critical role in supporting MSIG’s telemedicine and service delivery operations by ensuring timely, accurate, and safe delivery of medications and health products to clients, health facilities, and outreach teams. The role requires professionalism, reliability, and strict adherence to safety, confidentiality, and operational standards. The Dispatch Rider contributes directly to client satisfaction and program efficiency by facilitating smooth logistics and communication between MSIG teams and service points.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport medications and health products to clients, health facilities, and outreach teams as directed by the Telemedicine Midwife.
- Ensure all deliveries are made accurately, on time, and with proper documentation of dispatch and receipt.
- Maintain the assigned vehicle in good working condition, including reporting maintenance needs and ensuring roadworthiness.
- Safeguard confidentiality and proper handling of medical products during transit.
- Assist with stock management and inventory checks, coordinating with the Telemedicine Midwife to track movement of products.
- Communicate effectively with clients, health professionals, and internal teams regarding delivery schedules, challenges, and completion.
- Adhere to MSIG operational policies, road safety regulations, and ethical standards at all times.
- Provide occasional support to other program logistics needs as required by the Telemedicine Midwife or program manager.
Required Skills or Experience
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSSCE) or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a rider, courier, or in logistics preferred.
- Good knowledge of Accra city roads and surrounding areas.
- Experience handling medical products is an advantage.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact respectfully with clients and staff.
- Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and safety procedures.

- Physically fit and able to handle deliveries across varying distances and locations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and flexibility to adapt to urgent delivery requests.
