Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Mid-Level Software Engineer to join our growing engineering team. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing, maintaining, and scaling systems that support thousands of users daily.
You will work across both backend and frontend systems, contributing to feature development, system performance, and overall platform stability in a fast-paced, impact-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using PHP (Laravel)
- Build and enhance frontend applications using React, TypeScript, and Next.js
- Integrate payment gateways and third-party services via APIs and webhooks
- Manage and optimize asynchronous processing using Redis and Laravel Horizon
- Write clean, testable, and maintainable code with appropriate unit and integration tests (PestPHP, Vitest)
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical design discussions
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve system issues in production environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features
Requirements & Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 2–4 years of professional software development experience
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in PHP and Laravel (REST APIs, queues, middleware)
- Experience with modern frontend frameworks, particularly React and TypeScript (Next.js preferred)
- Solid understanding of relational databases (MySQL or PostgreSQL)
- Familiarity with Redis, Docker, and Git-based version control workflows
- Experience integrating third-party APIs and payment systems
Core Competencies
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to code quality
- Ability to take ownership and deliver independently
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
Desirable / Advantageous Skills
- Experience with Livewire, Filament, or Ionic/Capacitor
- Prior experience in fintech, payments, gaming, or high-transaction platforms
- Knowledge of USSD and SMS systems (e.g., SMPP integrations)
