Overview

Publicis West Africa is seeking an Influencer Lead to define and scale its influencer marketing practice across West and Central Africa. In this senior leadership role, you will set the strategic direction for influencer services, establish scalable frameworks and standards, and act as the region’s authority on influencer strategy. You will lead multi-market initiatives, advise senior clients, support new business, and build a strong centre of excellence by developing Influencer Managers and Senior Influencer Managers.

This is a high-impact role focused on practice growth, consistency, and commercial performance, shaping how influencer marketing delivers value for clients across a diverse and fast-growing region.

Role Purpose

  • Lead and grow Publicis West Africa’s influencer marketing practice across the region
  • Define the strategic direction, standards, and value proposition for influencer services
  • Act as the senior authority on influencer strategy for clients and internal teams
  • Drive scale, consistency, and commercial success across markets

Responsibilities

  • Set the regional influencer marketing strategy and positioning for Publicis West Africa
  • Define scalable frameworks, playbooks, and best practices for influencer work
  • Act as senior advisor to clients on influencer strategy, approach, and measurement
  • Lead multi-market influencer proposals, pitches, and go-to-market initiatives
  • Represent the influencer practice in new business, senior client meetings, and industry forums
  • Ensure alignment of influencer work across English-, French-, and Portuguese-speaking markets
  • Guide integration of influencer marketing with paid, earned, shared, and owned channels
  • Partner with leadership on commercial models, pricing, and resourcing approaches
  • Build and lead a centre of excellence, mentoring Influencer Managers and Senior Influencer Managers
  • Champion innovation, data, and emerging technologies within influencer marketing

Qualifications

  • 6+ years’ experience in influencer, social, or digital marketing roles
  • Proven experience building or scaling influencer programmes across markets
  • Strong strategic planning and commercial acumen
  • Deep understanding of influencer ecosystems, platforms, and measurement
  • Confident senior-client leadership and presentation skills
  • Ability to lead in a matrixed, multi-market organisation
  • Fluency in English; French and/or Portuguese strongly advantageous
  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field (preferred)
