Job Objective

To process all assigned underwriting transactions within agreed standards and service levels, ensuring prudent underwriting practices within delegated parameters and meeting customer requirements while aligning with Hollard's business objectives.   

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Process Motor and Non-Motor underwriting transactions within the set standards and authorization limit.
  • Handle policy renewals including cancellations within agreed timelines.
  • Quote prescribed rates for new and renewal businesses.
  • Issue policies and all other documents as evidence of insurance cover.
  • Issue renewal notices to clients prior to the renewal date.
  • Complete claims verifications and forward documentation to the claims department.
  • Ensure proper filling of documents to facilitate the retrieval of same.
  • Respond to enquiries from Hollard2U, Brokers and Direct clients and always ensure client satisfaction.
  • Process returns from Hollard2U other agents and issue certificates.
  • Ensure all facing sheets with records of electronically generated receipt numbers are returned and appropriately filed.
  • Support agents in selling Hollard products to clients where appropriate.
  • Provide the required weekly and monthly reports accurately and on time.

Required Skills or Experience

  • A University Degree in Insurance or Social Sciences is required.
  • A diploma in Insurance from the WAII or GIC will be an advantage.
  • 1-3 years relevant experience
  • Good understanding of commercial and personal line policies
  • Good communication skills (including writing and presentation skills)
  • Customer-focused and good relationship management skills.
  • Self-motivated and have advance computer literacy in MS Office
