Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Officer / Finance Assistant to support the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records, managing daily reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with statutory obligations. The successful candidate will play a key role in monitoring financial transactions, preparing reports, and supporting the efficient operation of the finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily cash and bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy between company financial records and bank deposits.
- Generate and submit daily and weekly financial reports to management to support informed decision-making.
- Record, monitor, and reconcile petty cash transactions and company expenses.
- Utilise thePOS system to accurately track sales, receipts, and financial transactions.
- Assist with payroll preparation and ensure the timely processing of employee salaries.
- Support the preparation, filing, and submission of statutory obligations, including SSNIT and PAYE contributions.
- Receive, review, and maintain proper filing of supplier invoices, while monitoring due dates and preparing payment schedules.
- Address internal and external account-related inquiries and maintain accurate documentation of financial transactions.
- Assist the finance team with periodic financial reviews and reporting as required.

Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in an accounting or finance-related role.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems (experience with POS systems such as BIMPOS is an advantage).
- Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Familiarity with Ghana statutory requirements, including SSNIT and PAYE filings.
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Strong communication and reporting abilities.
