Job Description
- Location: Bolga
- Section/ Unit: Accounts Payable
- Department: Finance & Risk
- Job reports to: Finance Superintendent
- Direct Reports: None
Job Purpose
- To manage the company’s outgoing finances by ensuring timely, accurate processing and payment of supplier invoices.
- To maintain a healthy relationship with vendors, reconcile vendor accounts, and ensure compliance with internal financial controls and procurement policies.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- To enter all invoices in the system with accuracy and file all supporting documentation.
- To analyze all vendor accounts, review ageing reports and bring all old and/or overdue accounts to the attention of the Supervisor.
- Performing 3-way matching (verifying invoice against purchase order and goods received notes/packing slips).
- To process various tax payments where applicable
- Reconciling vendor statements to the company ledger monthly, identifying discrepancies, and following up on outstanding items.
- Liaising with vendors, procurement, and warehouse staff to resolve invoice mismatches (price or quantity).
- Reviewing "Goods Received Not Invoiced" (GRNI) reports to investigate outstanding items.
- Assisting in month-end closing tasks, including accruals and journal entries.
- Assisting with audit preparation by providing documentation for external auditors
- Perform any other related duties based on the exigencies of the Company as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Skills or Experience
Minimum qualification(s)
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, commerce, or finance is generally required.
- Added advantage if the candidate holds or is pursuing professional qualifications like ICA Ghana, ACCA, or CIMA.
Experience (Minimum)
- 3-5 years of proven experience?
Knowledge (In-depth)?
- Comprehensive knowledge in accounting
- Proficiency in Chinese language will be an added advantage
Skills
- Familiarity with ERP software (SAP) and excellent knowledge of MS Excel (spreadsheets)
- Ability to work with various stakeholders, including procurement and external suppliers, to resolve queries.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for managing vendor relationships.
