ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are looking for a confident, hands-on HR professional who wants to sit where business decisions are made. The HR Business Partner will work side-by-side with managers and team leaders to ensure that people capability, leadership behaviour, and operational priorities are fully aligned with results.

You will be involved in the operations of the units, understanding how work happens, spotting risks early, and helping managers turn people challenges into practical actions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Partnership & Advisory

  • Maintain strong presence within assigned departments.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees.
  • Provide practical, solution-oriented HR guidance.
  • Anticipate risks and escalate when necessary.
  • Track commitments and ensure execution.

Organization Effectiveness

  • Reinforce performance standards and accountability.
  • Support adoption of improved ways of working.
  • Enhance collaboration and team health.

Talent Management & Workforce Planning

  • Support hiring, internal mobility, and promotions.
  • Ensure fair and consistent staffing practices.
  • Coordinate effective onboarding.
  • Participate in succession discussions.
  • Monitor critical skills requirements.

Performance & Employee Relations

  • Coach managers to handle performance confidently.
  • Guide fair and timely resolution of issues.
  • Promote a respectful, productive work environment.
  • Support engagement and retention initiatives.

Learning & Capability Development

  • Identify development needs.
  • Support implementation of learning plans.
  • Follow up to ensure application on the job.

HR Data & Insights

  • Track workforce indicators.
  • Translate data into practical actions.
  • Provide relevant insights to leadership.

Collaboration with Shared Services

  • Partner to ensure smooth HR operations.
  • Maintain accurate employee information

Policy & Compliance

  • Guide interpretation and application of policies.
  • Ensure legal and procedural compliance.
  • Support investigations and audits where required.

Other Duties

  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

OHSE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Knowledge of and adherence to all TAGG’s OHS&E procedures
  • Follow all safe work procedures, rules, and instructions
  • Risk Assessment
  • Hazard identification and reporting
  • Knowledge on the safe use of all tools and equipment as applicable

Required Skills or Experience

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in HR, ideally supporting operations.

  • Understands HR practice and labour law
  • Can quickly diagnose organisational issues.
  • Builds strong, credible relationships with managers.
  • Drives actions to closure.
  • Is comfortable challenging constructively.
