Job Summary
We seek a highly skilled and experienced Power Systems Engineer to join our team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, analyze, and model electrical power systems including generation, transmission, and distribution networks
- Perform power system studies such as load flow, short-circuit, stability, protection coordination, and arc-flash analysis
- Develop and review electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and technical specifications
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (IEEE, IEC, NEC, NERC, local grid codes)
- Coordinate with utilities, contractors, and regulatory authorities
- Provide technical support during installation, testing, commissioning, and operation
- Prepare technical reports, calculations, and documentation
- Knowledge of Protection relay and substation maintenance works
- Use several other electrical construction software to ease projects simulation and reporting
- Calculate, design and implement earthing in power system

Required Skills or Experience
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems Engineering
- Strong knowledge of power systems theory and electrical equipment
- Proficiency with power systems analysis software (ETAP, PSS®E, PowerWorld, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, or similar)
- Understanding of protection systems, relays, and switchgear
- Familiarity with industry standards and safety practices
- Expert in earthing system
- Familiar with several other electrical software for analysis and design
- Must be a registered member of Ghana Institute of Engineers (GHIE)
