Key Responsibilities
Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) System Management
- Design and maintain a robust MEAL system to track project outputs, outcomes, and impacts in line with donor and organizational requirements.
- Support the development and review of project logical frameworks, indicators, and results measurement tools.
- Lead the development of M&E plans, including data collection tools, protocols, and reporting templates.
- Support external evaluations, donor reviews, and audits through timely provision of data and documentation.
- Ensure alignment of M&E systems with CIFOR-ICRAF and WVG standards and frameworks.
- Conduct monitoring visits to project activities to assess progress against targets and to provide coaching and direction to activities in areas where improvements are needed.
- Develop and maintain databases to store and manage project data securely and efficiently.

Preferred/desirable Skills And Experience
- Proficiency in M&E tools and software (e.g., Excel, SPSS, STATA, R, KoboToolbox, ODK, Power BI).
- Experience in the GIS and Remote Sensing Knowledge of logical frameworks, theory of change, and results-based monitoring approaches.
- Ability to design and manage databases, manage large datasets, and ensure data quality.
- Familiarity with participatory M&E approaches, outcome harvesting, and adaptive learning practices.
- Strong report writing skills, with the ability to generate evidence-based reports and learning products.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to present complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience in capacity building, training, and coaching of field staff and partners.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams, communities, and stakeholders.
- Goal-oriented, flexible and adaptive.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Willingness to travel frequently to the field is essential.
