Job Summary
The Account Officer is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting billing and collections, and ensuring strong relationships with customers. The role involves monitoring account activities, preparing reports, and assisting with financial transactions in line with company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain customer and company accounts
- Prepare invoices, receipts, and account statements
- Monitor account balances and follow up on outstanding payments
- Record financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records
- Liaise with clients to address account-related inquiries
- Support audits and compliance with financial regulations
- Collaborate with finance and administrative teams as needed

Required Skills or Experience
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Proven experience as an Account Officer, Accounts Assistant, or similar role
- Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
