Active Capital Management is an investment and asset management company. The company since inception has been conducting regulatory and business strategy operational research. The company is looking for an investment’s portfolio Analyst- for Active Capital portfolio company operation for the Active Special Fund, and Infrastructure Fund, (South Africa). Mining/ Energy Fund, and the Healthcare Fund (Ghana), to help review and search for business within the fund strategic mandate in areas of turnaround, Merger and Acquisition deals, growth capital strategy and potential novel researched business for growth.
To perform the fund investments operational activities over the next five years, in meeting portfolio company growth and business development strategy Across- the African Sub region;
Job description, the officer shall perform the following but not limited to
- To lead technical business research with technical experts, depending on the business’ sector focus, of the respective fund strategy, help review the business performance matrix before submission to the executive management committee which comprise of the fund Head/Administrator and the Fund chair, before the final investment decision.
- To help in driving investment partnership strategy for the fund, leading to real deal for investment, to review the investment opportunity for the fund to embark on, in the African region, both in local country of the fund and the African sub region,
- To lead in the analysis of the M& A sector in the African region, for investments, working with the various investment opportunity platform for the Africa region, like the Aurigin , pitchbook portal etc both buyer side, and seller side.
- To help provide strategic support and advisory services to clients, in areas of Active Capital advisory Services programs, within the business portfolio .To support and report to the fund administrator on areas of compelling business case for capital raising .
- To support and report to the executive management Team in areas of key investment opportunity the fund should evaluates going forward, post research submission and fund guidance for executive management decision .
- Any other responsibility that may be advise by the executive management Team and the board .
Note: Active capital is investing and is based on self-evaluation and data analysis (numbers and strategy )

Requirements For The Position
- Must hold at least two of the following; a graduate degree in Financial Management, Development studies, and ACCA Affiliates CA (SA), CA(GH), and CFA.
- At least 3 years working experience in the financial sector,
- Must be a hold of the Ghana stock exchange certification program.- as investment Advisor, understanding of acquisition reporting, investment decision making environments, with strong understanding of the alternative investment environment, (private Equity industry),
- Knowledge of market operation , investments advisory and financing operation requirements ,Understanding of the JSE alternative listing Approach, and others
- Must be Very assertive and strong value judgment to decision making and reporting,
- Strong ethical principle and understanding of the anti-money laundry regulations and compliance procedures,
- Good writing and analytical skills, very intuitive to decision making process,
- Strong understanding of the African business environment, the geo political dynamics in doing business, culture and the human errors in doing business in Africa .
