North Gonja Community Foundation LBG (NGCF), is an incorporated public nonprofit charity organization based in Daboya, serving the communities in the North Gonja District of the Savannah Region of Ghana. It is a District-wide community owned philanthropy and development coordinating agency supporting the communities to thrive. The foundation was officially launched on 31st December, 2022 and commenced operations thereafter.
The purpose of NGCF is to promote community leadership, serves as vehicle for community philanthropy, through promoting active local philanthropy and giving by past and present residence of the district both individuals, families and organizations for the development of all local communities in the District to enhance community vitality.
The organization thrives on the power of community solidarity by building a movement of community of supporters who annually make generous donation of resource to contribute to the development of communities in a complementary manner to what comes from the state and other development actors.

Job Description
To achieve its strategic purpose, the board of directors of the foundation invites applications from interested and qualified persons RESIDENT IN THE DISTRICT to apply for the position of Accounts Officer of the operations of the foundation on an initial volunteer work engagement basis.
Locations: Daboya, North Gonja District, Savannah Region
Job Summary
The Accounts Officer manages the financial and accounting functions of the North Gonja Community Foundation (NGCF). The accounts officers prepares financial reports, budgets, advice management, and the board on the financial soundness of the foundation. The Accounts Officer participates actively in actions to connect with people, organizations and government agencies to build a community of supporters and donors that provides both financial and in-kind resources for the running of the foundation.
Key Responsibilities
A. Accounting and Finance Function:
- Manage Petty Cash and account accurately.
- Keep proper books of Accounts, and prepare financial reports.
- Prepare regular monthly reconciliation statements and budget tracking.
- Account project funds accurately.
- Prepare annual budgets, and budgetary Control activities.
- Implement appropriate internal control procedures by following strictly the financial manual of the foundation.
- Prepare Financial Statements for Audits.
- Maintain the donor Data-base system.
- Manage the endowment funds and other designated funds.
- Advice on funds for Community Grant-making.
- Ensure the office is clean, administrative files well maintained and administrative staff supervised.
B. Programmes & Fundraising:
- Support implementation of the programmes and projects of the Foundation.
- Support in the implementation of community outreach and fundraising activities.

Required Skills or Experience
Qualification and Expertise
- Education: Minimum of Higher National Diploma (HND) or Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy.
- Experience: Experience of working in a nonprofit environment or managing accounts of a social group or local club fundraising experience will be advantage.
- Digital Literacy: Must have a minimum ability to use digital tools such as computer literacy and use of social media.
- Personal Attribute: Passion for the mission: Demonstrate commitment to the organization's purpose. Adaptability: Be flexible and able to navigate change. Self-awareness: Recognizes own strengths and limitations.
Remuneration and Benefits
- Voluntary with Stipend: Accounts Officer will be engaged initially on a volunteer service basis with payment of monthly stipends. Approved travels on behalf and in service of NGCF will be covered by the foundation in accordance with its approved travel rates.
- Future Salary: Competitive salary and benefit packages commensurate with experience and performance of the Accounts Officer will be paid by the board when the financial position of the foundation improves as results of the leadership of the team.
