Wholistic Medical Center, a 100-bed Medical Center requests the services of the following professional as Clinical Psychologist.

Job Summary

The Clinical Psychologist is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals experiencing emotional, behavioral, and psychological difficulties. The role involves providing evidence-based therapy, developing treatment plans, conducting psychological assessments, and supporting patients in achieving mental and emotional well-being.

The Clinical Psychologist works as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic patient care and promote mental health awareness.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assessment and Diagnosis

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations through interviews, observations, and standardized assessment tools.
  • Diagnose psychological, emotional, and behavioral disorders based on diagnostic criteria (e.g., DSM-5 or ICD-10).
  • Prepare detailed assessment reports with diagnostic impressions and recommendations.

2. Treatment and Therapy

  • Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to clients’ needs and therapeutic goals.
  • Provide evidence-based psychological interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness-based therapy, or trauma-informed care.
  • Support individuals, couples, and families coping with stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health challenges.

3. Crisis Intervention and Support

  • Respond to psychological emergencies and provide crisis intervention when needed.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and medical professionals to ensure patient safety and stability.

4. Consultation and Collaboration

  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams (psychiatrists, nurses, occupational therapists, and social workers) to coordinate care.
  • Provide consultation and psychological insight to other healthcare professionals, educators, or organizational leaders.

5. Education and Prevention

  • Conduct psychoeducation sessions, workshops, and mental health awareness programs for patients, families, or staff.
  • Promote resilience, emotional intelligence, and positive coping strategies within the community or organization.

6. Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date clinical records of all patient interactions.
  • Prepare progress notes, discharge summaries, and reports as required by clinical or legal standards.

7. Professional Development and Research

  • Stay updated on current research, trends, and evidence-based practices in clinical psychology.
  • Participate in continuing professional education, supervision, and training programs.
  • Contribute to research projects, publications, or quality improvement initiatives where applicable.

Required Skills or Experience

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Clinical Psychology from a recognized institution.
  • Registration or licensure with a recognized professional body or regulatory authority.
  • Proven experience in psychological assessment, therapy, and counseling.
  • Strong knowledge of psychological theories, diagnostic frameworks, and therapeutic modalities.
  • Excellent communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in documentation and clinical report writing.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience working in hospital or multidisciplinary clinical settings.
  • Specialized training in trauma therapy, child and adolescent psychology, or neuropsychology.
  • Knowledge of behavioral medicine and psychosomatic conditions.
  • Competence in using psychological testing software and digital health tools.
