Globe 24-7, in partnership with a key global mining client, is working together to source an experienced Global HR Manager to join their team in Ghana. Our client is a leading mining company with global operations and a strong presence across Africa. They are committed to operational excellence, sustainability, and fostering a high-performance culture across diverse sites.
The Role
The Global HR Manager will lead the strategic and operational human resource's function, driving people initiatives that align with the company’s global goals while addressing regional and site-specific needs. This role requires a strong understanding of HR practices across multiple jurisdictions, with a focus on Africa.
The successful candidate will act as a key advisor to senior leadership on workforce planning, talent development, organizational effectiveness, and change management.
The Responsibilities
- Develop and implement global HR strategies that support organizational objectives.
- Provide leadership and guidance to regional HR teams across multiple mining operations.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, talent management, and succession planning initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with local labour laws, international HR standards, and corporate governance policies.
- Partner with senior leadership to drive diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
- Support change management, workforce planning, and employee engagement activities across all sites.
- Lead initiatives to strengthen company culture and improve retention of key talent.

The Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the mining or extractive industries.
- Proven experience managing HR operations across multiple countries, ideally within Africa.
- Strong knowledge of global HR frameworks, workforce planning, and change management.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
