Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of mechanics in performing maintenance, diagnostics, and repair work on Sinotruk HOWO trucks and related trailers.
- Carry out advanced troubleshooting and repairs on:
- Tractor engine systems
- Gearbox assembly
- Drive axle and chassis components
- Air gap systems on trailers
- Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide technical guidance to team members.
- Ensure all repairs are completed efficiently, safely, and in line with manufacturer specifications.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimize vehicle downtime.
- Conduct technical inspections and quality checks on completed jobs.
- Train and mentor junior mechanics to build technical capacity within the team.
- Collaborate with the Workshop Manager to report on maintenance issues, spare parts needs, and performance improvements.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in the workshop.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Technical Diploma/Certificate in Automobile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5–7 years’ hands-on experience in heavy-duty truck maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/team leader role.
- Proven proficiency in maintenance and repair of Sinotruk HOWO trucks (engines, gearboxes, drive axles, chassis, trailer air gap systems).
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple repair tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge of workshop safety procedures and best practices.
