Job Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Maintenance Officer located in Accra. The Maintenance Officer is responsible for ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and outstanding customer service, and providing clerical services that expedite and maintain repair and maintenance job orders, as well as support fleet services.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with vehicle scheduling and dispatch, ensuring optimal allocation of vehicles for various tasks.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of vehicle maintenance schedules, service history, and repair needs.
- Schedule and coordinate vehicle maintenance appointments with repair shops.
- Process invoices related to fuel, maintenance, and repairs.
- Monitor and report on vehicle performance and identify potential problems.
- Assist drivers with any issues they encounter on the road (e.g., breakdowns, accidents, lost paperwork).
- Prepare reports on fleet activity and generate data for fleet management decisions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including filing systems and databases.
- May be required to perform basic vehicle inspections (e.g., tire pressure, fluid levels).

Required Skills or Experience
Qualifications & Experience
- Candidate must have an HND/Degree in relevant discipline
- Minimum of 0-4 years’ years working experience in fleet management roles
- Professional certification will be an added advantage
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Excellent time management
- Proactive and ability to take initiative
- Ability to handle pressure and tight deadlines
- Appropriately assertive manner to deal with clients
- Integrity, and confidentiality are very key in this role
- Ability to work well with people are essential.
- Excellent organizational skills to meet goals and set priorities
- Familiarity with word processing and spreadsheet applications is beneficial
