Job Duties
Under broad direction, coordinates inventory planning requirements to provide seamless integration of supply chain and operations processes for one or more product service lines (PSLs).
- Gathers business outlook from PSLs and Business Development (BD) and executes the inventory plan against the PSL demand plan to achieve optimised inventory levels.
- Responsible for planning activities such as review of forecasts and replenishment recommendations generated by inventory planning tools, leading inventory planning meetings and ensuring actions arising from these meetings are executed.
- Additionally, the role will provide coaching and training to Material Control Specialists and in some cases serve as team lead for small work groups or project teams.
- Will have direct impact and responsibility to meet financial goals and objectives for the business.
- Requires completion of a two-year degree; a four-year undergraduate degree in supply chain, engineering/applied math, finance/accounting or business is preferred.
- Six years of related experience in materials management, which includes experience in procurement or logistics or a four-year degree plus 2 years of related work experience required.
- Strong computer skills and analytical abilities to resolve problems.
