We are seeking to recruit a Programme Officer for an upcoming FCDO-funded project. The position is scheduled to begin in November 2025. This position will contribute to the implementation of technical activities, with a focus on coordinating fieldwork, supporting research and analysis, and engaging stakeholders. The Officer will report to the Technical Lead under the general oversight responsibility of the Project Team Lead.

This is a locally hired position and does not include moving expenses or expatriate allowances. Applicants must have the legal right to live and work in Ghana.

Key responsibilities include:

  • In collaboration with the Technical Lead, coordinate all field activities including workshops.
  • Assist in preparing technical inputs for reports, presentations, and learning products, and help coordinate stakeholder consultations, and capacity-building sessions.

  • Support the documentation of lessons learned, briefs and contribute to the programme’s Monitoring, Reporting, Evaluation, and Learning (MREL) processes.
  • Provide administrative support to projects as needed.
  • Participate in the development of project strategies.
  • Support in ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
  • Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned.

Skills and abilities:

  • Extensive field coordination experience.
  • Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong operations and analytical skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks to address the most critical needs first.

Qualification Required & Experience

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in social science, business administration, or other related discipline, with 4 years of relevant working experience
  • Experience with the finance and compliance regulations for donor projects is desirable
  • Computer skills: SharePoint, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word
  • Organized, detail-oriented, able to maintain confidentiality, proactive, solution-oriented.
  • Good oral and written English.
