We are seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Video Editor with proven expertise in video editing and motion graphics to join our remote media team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for editing educational, promotional, and social media content that aligns with Peak Skills Africa’s brand voice and visual standards.
The candidate must be able to work independently, meet monthly video editing targets, and deliver top-quality work on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit videos for online courses, social media, and promotional campaigns.
- Create and integrate motion graphics, intros, lower thirds, and animated titles.
- Sync audio, add sound effects, and enhance overall production quality.
- Collaborate with the content and creative teams to understand project requirements and desired outcomes.
- Ensure brand consistency and high production quality across all video outputs.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and monthly output targets.
- Optimize videos for various digital platforms (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Stay updated with the latest editing trends, tools, and techniques.

Requirements
- Proven experience as a Video Editor with a strong portfolio of motion graphics and video editing work.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, or equivalent editing tools.
- Strong understanding of video formats, codecs, and resolutions for digital publishing.
- Ability to add dynamic visual elements to enhance storytelling and engagement.
- Excellent sense of pacing, rhythm, and visual composition.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Reliable internet connection and access to a functional editing workstation.
- Commitment to meeting set monthly editing and content delivery targets.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with online learning platforms or educational content.
- Knowledge of color correction, sound design, and basic animation.
- Familiarity with branding and marketing content creation.
