Nestas International School invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Teacher: Nursery & Kindergarten.
Purpose
The qualified candidate will be responsible for teaching and caring for children in Nursery 1, Kindergarten 1, and Kindergarten 2, fostering a safe, stimulating, and joyful learning environment that supports each child’s developmental growth.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with the school’s curriculum and learning goals.
- Create a warm, inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and social interaction.
- Use play-based and inquiry-driven approaches to support cognitive, emotional, and physical development.
- Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining accurate records and communicating regularly with parents/guardians.
- Promote positive behaviour and social skills through modelling and reinforcement.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and school leadership to plan events, activities, and learning experiences.

Required Skills or Experience
Education & Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
- 1-5 years teaching experience in a nursery or kindergarten setting.
Requirements
- Demonstrate a professional demeanor
- Strong understanding of child development and early learning frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must be between the ages of 30 – 40 years
- Must have the qualities of a mother (mother figure)
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with young children.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
- Must live in the enclave of Community 25, Dawhenya, Afienya Junction and Abbey Community.
