Equity Health Insurance is looking for a Business Development Officer for one of its subsidiaries in the facility management industry.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building client relationships, and driving revenue growth by promoting the company’s facility management services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify potential clients and new business opportunities in the facility management sector.
  • Research target markets and develop strategies to reach decision-makers.
  • Prepare and present business proposals, sales pitches and tender documents.
  • Achieve assigned sales targets and contribute to overall revenue goals.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract signing.
  • Follow up on leads, referrals and inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Understand client needs and customize facility management solutions accordingly.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction to support client retention and referrals.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities and client feedback to adapt business strategies.
  • Provide input to product/service development based on market needs.
  • Work closely with the operations team to ensure service delivery aligns with client expectations.
  • Coordinate with finance and legal teams to ensure accurate proposals, pricing and contract terms.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of sales activities, pipelines and client interactions.
  • Generate and present regular performance and progress reports to senior management

  • Number of new client accounts opened.
  • Value of contracts secured.
  • Client retention rate.
  • Sales-to-lead conversion ratio
  • Revenue growth from new and existing clients

JOB SPECIFICATION

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably within the facility management sector.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to generate leads and close deals.
  • Knowledge of facility management services (e.g. cleaning, security, HVAC, landscaping, maintenance)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
