The Paralegal Officer is responsible for conducting legal research, provides valid legal advice, assists in-house legal departments with various corporate law matters, drafts and peruses legal documents such as contracts, agreements, organizes case files, prepares legal reports, provides compliance and regulatory support and provides administrative support to lawyers.
Role Responsibilities
- Review legal contracts and documents and advice accordingly by liaison with company lawyers.
- Represent the company at Court and other legal related meetings.
- Organize case file accordingly and set reminders on court cases, legal meetings and others.
- Prepare appropriate witnesses and witness statements for court.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly legal reports.
- Drafting and organizing legal documents.
- Support case and trial preparations.
- Help attorneys prepare motions, legal arguments and other parts of a case.
- Perform a variety of administrative tasks including filing paperwork for court, answering phones and sending emails.
- Organizing and maintaining legal paperwork, files, exhibits and other important information for clients.

Required Skills or Experience
Qualification
- Degree in Commercial Law (Preferred), LLB or similar background with five (5) years of working experience with rich court experience.
- Legal working experience in the automobile or real estate industry would be an added advantage.
