Robinson & Co is a diversified financial group with an investment banking arm and a fast-growing commodities trading desk. Our commodities division sources and supplies physical gold and sugar from trusted global partners. We are now seeking entrepreneurial-minded traders or agents to drive our expansion by building relationships with qualified buyers of sugar on the buy-side.
Role Overview:
As a Buy-Side Trader/Agent, you will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and closing transactions with qualified end buyers of and ICUMSA 45 sugar. You will work closely with our internal desk to facilitate efficient deal flow and execution.

Key Responsibilities:
- Source and develop relationships with qualified, vetted buy-side clients.
- Conduct needs assessments and match buyers to our supply mandates.
- Coordinate documentation and KYC processes with our internal compliance and deal desk teams.
- Act as the primary liaison between buyer and our firm throughout the transaction cycle.
- Report pipeline activity and potential deal status to management.
Requirements:
- Experience in commodity trading, brokering, or global trade (especially sugar) is strongly preferred.
- A proven buyer network in the sugar markets is a significant advantage.
- Understanding of international trade documentation, KYC/AML compliance, and logistics in commodities.
- Self-starter with strong communication, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Fluent in English; additional languages a plus.
Compensation:
This is a commission-only position with highly competitive payouts:
- Earn a percentage of net profit per closed transaction (both spot and contract-based).
- No cap on earnings – compensation is directly tied to volume and margins.
- Top performers will be considered for retainer + equity deals or a leadership position within the commodities desk.
