African Diaspora Resource Centre (ADRC) provides transitional support services to members of the African diaspora seeking to visit, reintegrate, and relocate to Ghana. Through programs such as cultural immersion, relocation assistance, and community-building, ADRC helps newcomers successfully transition into Ghanaian society.
Role Description
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Twi Teacher & Reintegration Specialist to support ADRC’s mission of helping newcomers adjust to life in Ghana. This hybrid role combines teaching the Twi language with guiding new expats and diaspora returnees through cultural orientation, reintegration, relocation support, and community engagement.
The ideal candidate will be skilled in both education and advisory services, ensuring that clients gain practical knowledge of the language, culture, and systems that shape daily life in Ghana.
Key Responsibilities
Twi Language Instruction
- Plan and deliver structured Twi lessons tailored to English-speaking learners.
- Develop interactive and engaging teaching materials to enhance learning.
- Provide individualized support based on learners’ language proficiency levels.
- Incorporate multimedia tools and real-life scenarios to strengthen language acquisition.
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt lessons as needed.
