The Supply Chain Officer is responsible for aligning procurement, storage, and logistics with organisational goals.
Key duties include:
Sourcing suppliers, processing purchase orders, managing inventory, and ensuring the timely delivery of products. This role also involves maintaining an organised storage space while strictly adhering to company procedures and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify potential suppliers.
- Maintain comprehensive supplier databases and records.
- Demand planning and forecasting.
- Obtain price quotations and negotiate terms with vendors.
- Assist in creating and processing purchase orders and tracking their status.
- Receive, inspect, and process incoming products and materials.
- Pick and pack orders for distribution or internal use.
- Manage and maintain accurate inventory records and stock levels.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and quality checks to maintain high standards for audits.
- Handle the processing and returns of products as needed.
- Manage the movement of products to regional hubs
- Ensure compliance with organisation and project policies, guidelines/protocols, plans and timelines.
- Coordinate the disposal of any expired products.
- Ensure a clean, organised, and safe storage environment.
- Prepare and present reports on activities and any other duties that may be assigned.

Required Skills or Experience
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
- Attention to detail, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel and work in various field conditions.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft suite
- Data collection and analysis
- Report writing
