Job Summary
The GPS Administrator is responsible for managing the company's vehicle tracking and management systems. This role ensures the efficient, safe, and cost-effective operation of vehicles by leveraging GPS data to optimize routes, monitor driver behavior, and manage vehicle maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
Tracking & Reporting
- Administer and maintain the company's GPS tracking software.
- Monitor vehicle locations, routes, and activity in real-time to ensure operational efficiency.
- Generate and analyze reports on driver behavior (e.g., speeding, idling, harsh braking, etc), fuel consumption, and route optimization.
- Provide insights and data to management to inform strategic decisions regarding fleet operations.
System Maintenance & Support
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot GPS tracking devices in vehicles.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all GPS-related issues and support requests from drivers and management.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of GPS units and other related equipment.
- Assist with the development and implementation of vehicle policies and procedures based on GPS data.
