Job Summary:

We’re seeking an experienced and dynamic Shop Manager to lead our Gift, Home & Personal Essentials Shop team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales, managing daily operations, and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales and Revenue Growth:

  • Achieve sales targets and increase revenue through effective sales strategies and team management.
  • Analyze sales data, identify trends, and implement strategies to optimize sales performance.

Team Management:

  • Train, and manage a high performing team
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork and collaboration.
  • Coach and develop team members to enhance their sales and customer service skills.

Customer Service:

  • Ensure exceptional customer service standards are maintained throughout the store.
  • Respond to customer complaints and feedback, resolving issues promptly and professionally.

Store Operations:

  • Manage daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, stock management, and visual merchandising.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment.

Inventory Management:

  • Manage inventory levels, track stock movements, and optimize stock levels to minimize waste and maximize sales.
  • Collaborate with the buying team to select and purchase products that meet customer needs and drive sales.

Visual Merchandising:

  • Create visually appealing store displays and window displays to attract customers and drive sales.
  • Ensure store displays and promotional materials are aligned with the brand’s image and marketing strategies.

Reporting and Administration:

  • Prepare and submit sales reports, inventory reports, and other relevant documentation.
  • Manage store budgets, track expenses, and optimize resources to achieve business objectives.

Requirements:

Experience:

  • 2-5 years of retail management experience, preferably in a gift or home goods shop or similar environment.

Skills:

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong sales and customer service skills.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and make informed decisions.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system.
  • Knowledge of gift and home goods products, trends, and merchandising techniques.

Qualifications:

  • Higher National Diploma or equivalent required; degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Passionate about Sales, Gift Curation and allied services.
  • Strong ability to cross and upsell.
  • Strong visual merchandising and display skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Social Media Marketing skills
