Job Description

Department: Business Development

Reports directly to: MD

Subordinates: N/A

The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and nurturing client relationships, and driving revenue growth across all segments of the company’s real estate operations. This role requires a deep understanding of the real estate market and a strategic mindset to expand the company’s portfolio and client base.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development & Strategy

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in facilities management, property rental/sales, and construction.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive growth and market expansion.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitor activity.
  • Generate leads and convert them into long-term business relationships.
  • Prepare proposals, presentations, and business pitches to prospective clients.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with property owners, investors, corporate clients, and government agencies.
  • Serve as the key point of contact for client communication and satisfaction.
  • Regularly meet with existing clients to explore additional business opportunities.

Partnership & Networking

  • Develop strategic partnerships with real estate agents, developers, contractors, and other key stakeholders.
  • Attend industry events, exhibitions, and networking sessions to promote the company.

Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Drive sales for property rentals and sales, facilities management and construction, ensuring achievement of set targets.
  • Collaborate with other teams to design effective promotional campaigns.
  • Monitor and report on performance metrics and KPIs.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with operations, facility management, construction, and marketing teams to align client needs with service delivery.
  • Provide feedback from the market to inform service innovation and improvement.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Number of new clients acquired
  • Revenue generated from new and existing accounts
  • Client retention and satisfaction rate
  • Growth in the property portfolio and managed assets
  • Successful conversion rate from leads to contracts

Required Skills or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or HND in Business Administration, Marketing, or any related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in business development. Experience within the real estate or property sector is a plus
  • Proven track record in sales, client acquisition, and relationship management.
  • Strong understanding of real estate trends, property laws, and industry practices.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and results-oriented.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
