AAA Paper Limited is seeking to recruit a Business Development Executive – Modern Trade.

Number of Positions: 3–4

Job Responsibilities

1. Modern Trade Channel Development & Negotiation

  • Independently liaise with procurement departments and store management of major supermarket chains (e.g., Melcom, Shoprite, MaxMart)
  • Negotiate product listing, shelf display, promotional policies, and contract terms; ensure timely and successful onboarding in stores
  • Coordinate between headquarters and retail chains on account reconciliation, promotional approvals, and new product rollouts.

2. Store Operations & Sales Activation Execution

  • Develop and execute in-store sales activation plans, including display setups, promotions, and endcap arrangements.
  • Monitor sales performance at each store, optimize replenishment schedules, and ensure product availability.
  • Guide and manage in-store promoters to maintain consistent execution standards.

3. Data Analysis & Market Feedback

  • Regularly collect sales data, stock reports, and feedback from supermarket partners; provide insights and improvement recommendations.
  • Monitor competitor activities in-store, including pricing, displays, and promotional strategies.

4. Cross-Functional Coordination & Channel Management

  • Work closely with the sales, marketing, and logistics teams to drive the implementation of key projects;
  • May take responsibility for onboarding and training of new staff or act as a regional supervisor if needed.

Qualification Required & Experience

1. Educational Background:

  • Diploma or above in Marketing, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related fields is preferred.

2. Work Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in FMCG sales or channel development, with at least 1 year specifically in modern trade development.
  • Familiarity with the operating structures of large retail chains in Ghana is highly desirable, especially with proven product entry experience.

3. Negotiation & Management Skills:

  • Capable of independently leading negotiations on supermarket listing, promotional terms, and pricing structures;
  • Strong understanding of cost control and commercial terms management.

4. Language & Communication:

  • Excellent English communication skills (both written and verbal) are essential
  • Familiarity with local languages (e.g., Twi, Ga, Ewe) is a plus for better collaboration with store teams in various regions.

5. Other Qualities:

  • Strong sense of responsibility and results-driven mindset;
  • Willing to travel, conduct in-store supervision, and handle project-based tasks on short notice.

Salary Range: GHS 3,000 – 5,000/month (depending on individual qualifications and experience)

Working Hours:

  1. Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  2. Saturday: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM (half day)
  3. Public Holidays: Off

Location: Based in Accra, with coverage of major cities including Kumasi, Tema, Takoradi, etc.
