ABOUT KARPOWERSHIP
Karpowership, part of the Karadeniz Holding, is the owner, operator and builder of the only Powership™ (floating power plant) fleet in the world and plays an active role in medium to long-term investments; providing access to fast-track, affordable and reliable electricity. Powerships have a range of 30 MW to 470 MW and are delivered ready to operate in less than 60 days.
Currently, Karpowership owns and operates 36 Powerships with an installed capacity exceeding 3,500 MW and another 5,000 MW are under construction or in the pipeline. In addition to a Powership fleet, Karpowership owns and operates its own LNG fleet. With expertise and experience in the field, Karpowership serves as a one-stop-shop for LNG to Power solutions, as a single provider delivering all parts of the value chain; including but not limited to LNG sourcing, transport, delivery, regasification, and electricity production; with the mission of powering life wherever needed.

With more than 2,600 employees globally; Karpowership is operational in Mozambique, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Guinea Bissau, Gambia, Senegal, Gabon, Sudan, Ivory Coast, New Caledonia, Guyana, Brazil, Dominican Republic and Cuba.
We are seeking an "Accounting Specialist" to work primarily on our Ghana office. The ideal candidate should meet the following qualifications:
WHAT DO WE EXPECT?
- Bachelor’s degree from Accounting and ACCA / ICA / CIMA qualified,
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in related fields,
- Strong analytical and reporting skills,
- Detail-oriented, well-organized, and disciplined work style,
- Strong team player with the ability to work in coordination with related departments,
- Strong in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
WHAT AWAITS YOU?
- Support the finance team in handling all transactions, including petty cash, bank transactions, and other related financial operations, in coordination with the direct manager,
- Verify, record, and process financial transactions using supporting documents in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and accurate completion of month-end deadlines,
- Performing assigned transactions through EBA (external approval software), ensuring timely coordination, tracking of approvals, and confirming that all necessary authorizations are completed before submission of related documents for booking,
- Performing reconciliations with vendors or suppliers and resolving any discrepancies if any
- Assisting the team during the internal and external audits,
- Adhere to internal accounting procedures and group policies to maintain accurate and compliant financial records,
- Support the team in filing and archiving of invoices and related financial documents,
- Maintain accurate and complete records including ledgers, journals, invoices, receipts, and supplier/inventory-related information,
- Collaborate with team members and provide assistance as needed to ensure balanced workloads and team efficiency,
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping with a strong attention to detail,
- Protect organizational assets by implementing and monitoring internal controls,
- Stay informed about changes in local financial legislation, ensure compliance, and advise management on necessary actions,
- Proactively contribute to the achievement of departmental goals and initiatives.
