OPPORTUNITY

AGROPAL is seeking to hire an experienced and proactive person to fill in the role of Development & Impact Manager. The prospective person will lead in the collection, management, and deployment of data (internal and external) related to the company towards impact and development within its value chains of interest.

As the company grows and generates increasing volumes of operational, supply chain, and development-related data, the Development & Impact Manager will play a critical role in transforming this data into actionable insights for strategy, operations, and reporting. This role will bridge the gap between business intelligence, monitoring & evaluation (M&E), and impact measurement, supporting data-driven decision-making within the company.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The hired candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Lead in the establishment of the Development & Impact Department.
  • Design/maintain systems for collecting, cleaning, and storing key datasets across various departments such as production, sourcing, and operations.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting tools to track Key Performance Indicators across departments.
  • Analyze trends, identify bottlenecks, and produce recommendations for operational improvements.
  • Contribute to strategic planning to ensure evidence-based decision making.
  • Manage and resolve data quality issues and ensure all data is fit for purpose.
  • Collaborate with departments and field agents to streamline data collection and reporting.
  • Train staff and field officers on data tools, reporting templates, and performance tracking systems.
  • Generate reports to inform internal decision-making with management.
  • Oversee the analysis and report writing of core monitoring and evaluation data.
  • Able to transform data into compelling and engaging data visualizations.
  • Manage traceability and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) data for international compliance and reporting.Top of Form

Required Skills or Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Data Analytics, Monitoring & Evaluation, Agribusiness, Economics, or related fields.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in impact management, MEL, or data analytics, preferably in agriculture or agribusiness.
  • Strong skills in data analysis (e.g., Excel, Power BI, STATA, Tableau or R) and digital data collection platforms (e.g., Kobo Toolbox, ODK, Survey CTO).
  • Proven experience translating data into business or social impact insights.
  • Strong communication and reporting skills (written and visual).
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with working with smallholder farmers and export-focused agribusinesses is a plus.
