The Company
Globe 24-7 in partnership with a key mining client in Ghana are working together to source experienced and qualified to join their team.
The Role
The successful incumbent will be responsible for bridging the gap between operations and technology by ensuring the security systems in place are efficient, risk-aligned, and support the broader operational goals of the business.
This role is ideal for a proactive security professional with a strong technical background, experience in risk management, and a demonstrated ability to lead projects and people within dynamic operational environments.

The Responsibilities
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of technical security strategies based on risk and threat assessments.
- Oversee the planning and execution of technical security projects, ensuring alignment with operational needs and organizational objectives.
- Collaborate closely with operational and functional teams to design and implement practical security measures that reduce risk exposure.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of all security technologies and systems, initiating corrective actions where required.
- Manage budgets for security systems and technology, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiency.
- Conduct risk assessments and contribute to incident investigations, ensuring all corrective actions are tracked and completed.
- Ensure environmental, safety, and security compliance standards are maintained across the security function.
- Provide leadership to the technical security unit, including mentoring, upskilling, and managing the performance of team members.
- Maintain strong communication with stakeholders and contribute to the development of business continuity and emergency response plans.
- Prepare reports and insights on system performance, incidents, and operational risks for internal stakeholders.
The Requirements
- Ghanaian nationals are encouraged to apply.
- A bachelor's degree in Security Management, Risk Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of security-related IT / systems experience, with at least 5 years at a management level, preferably in mining or industrial operations.
- Demonstrated experience in risk assessment, incident response, and security systems integration.
- Proven ability to manage and deliver complex projects, including budgeting and cost analysis.
- Strong leadership, team development, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- A strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to solving operational challenges.
- Familiarity with the mining value chain and the operational impact of effective security practices.
