There are other significant Lube competitors on the Ghanaian Market as this is an open and unregulated market. TotalEnergies’ market share is estimated at 33% makes it one of the significant players on the market.

The Mines Segment represents represent 19% of the global lubricant sales and GMVC for TotalEnergies Ghana. The country has over 200 Oil Marketing companies in addition to independent lubricants players.

The main differences between the various brands lies mainly with the differentiation in communication on Product Superiority and Technical Support that aids the Marketing Teams in pushing products.

This position detects growth opportunities in the lubricant market and provides sales, marketing, and technical support to develop lubricant sales on the B2B segment.

Job Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the job holder include:

  • Development of lubricant sales on the mines segment through:
    • Provision of lubrication technical assistance to Mining Customers during scheduled visits and when requested by clients or authorized reseller;
    • Conduct training for Mining Customers, contractors and Mining Depot staff
    • Use any digital tool made available; Salsa, E-learning, E-lube etc
    • Participate in implementation of continuous improvement processes (Includes product upgrade, ANAC reports review for critical samples and recommendations)
    • Conduct lubrication survey on new mining clients and update the old survey reports.
    • Follow-up on Competitors’ Strategies to feed LSM/LM in adapting appropriate strategy.
    • Prospect for new mining clients, monitor competitor activities, file customer complaint with reasonable resolution time frame and report on threats in mining sector.
    • Prepare monthly mines sales performance report and Monitor mining customers lubes sales trends
  • Active participation in the achievement of margin and operating income objectives:
      • Responsibility for driving lubricant sales and realization of margin target on the mines segment.
      • Participate in the preparation of offers/proposals for new prospects with margin analysis.
    Car insurance
  • Improve after-sales service through:
    • Manage ANAC service delivery, prospect for new clients and ANAC debit note Memo creations
  • Review customer oil analysis reports and make recommendations on remedial actions.

Requirements

  • A Graduate degree in Chemistry or Engineering preferably Mechanical, Chemical or Petrochemical with not less than three (3) years Industrial experience in Lubes/ Tribology.
  • Performance monitoring and measurement capability with continuous KPI implementation and reporting
  • Strong taste for teamwork with a spirit of synthesis and prioritization of actions, allocation of key resources and interest in innovative solutions
  • Customer-oriented with excellent communication skills.
