University of Ghana Business School, the nation’s leading business school is seeking an experienced Chief Procurement Officer to join its very vibrant team. We are committee to excellence and are looking for a skilled professional to manage our procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to mee business needs
- Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts and manage relationships
- Conduct market research, analyze prices and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Ensure compliance with the university’s policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
- Manage procurement processes, including tendering, bidding and contract award
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs
- Develop and maintain procurement documentation, including contracts and records

Qualification Required & Experience
- Master’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, or related field (Professional qualifications will be an added advantage)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management
- Proven track record of successful procurement projects
- Strong negotiation, communication and analytical skills
- Experience with procurement software and systems
- Knowledge of procurement regulations and best practices
