The Grant Writer is responsible for researching, writing, and submitting compelling grant proposals to foundations, corporations, and government agencies to secure funding for the university's academic programs, research initiatives, capital projects, and other institutional priorities.
This role requires a strong understanding of the liberal arts mission, excellent written and verbal communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The Grant Writer will work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and leadership to identify funding needs and translate complex academic concepts into persuasive proposals.

Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited institution is preferred; degrees in English, Communications, NGO Management or a related field are highly desirable.
- 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in grant writing, preferably in a higher education or non-profit environment.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong research and analytical abilities.
- Proficiency in using grant research databases (e.g., Foundation Directory Online, Grants.gov).
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with CRM software (e.g., Blackbaud Raiser's Edge, Salesforce).
- Demonstrated success in securing significant grants from foundations, corporations, or government agencies.
