Job Purpose
Responsible for implementing effective and robust risk management and risk appetite infrastructure to ensure a proactive and disciplined approach to the management of risk throughout the bank in order to meet internal and external statutory requirements and also balance business growth and profitability against soundness and stability.
Responsible for ensuring that appropriate risk management assurance frameworks, policies and strategies are developed and implemented to identify, measure, monitor and control operational, market, legal and reputational risks confronting the institution.

Skills and Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of corporate finance and accounting
- Strong experience with statistical methodologies and financial modeling
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Knowledge of Banking practices & regulations
- In-depth knowledge of financial and credit risk analysis
- Experience in Banking Operations
- Knowledge of operational / credit risk management.
- Knowledge in current economic trends
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills
- Good negotiation and networking skills
- Excellent report writing, verbal communication and presentation skills.
- IT experience, including the use of Word, Excel and project management software.
- Ability to work with tact and discretion, and with political sensitivity.
- Able to work on own initiative and have excellent organisational skills.
- A high level of maturity and ability to inspire confidence and motivate staff to be results-oriented.
