Title: Principal Officer, Marketing and Public Relations

Reports To: Head of Unit, Marketing and Public Relations

Job Summary:

Deputises the Head of Unit in driving strategic marketing and public relations efforts to enhance the organisation’s visibility, reputation, and stakeholder engagement. The role supports the design and execution of communication initiatives that promote the company’s leadership and compliance across the gold sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and implementation of marketing and PR strategies aligned with organisational goals.
  • Coordinate media relations, draft public communications, and manage stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Lead the creation and dissemination of compelling content across digital and traditional platforms.
  • Assist in planning and executing public campaigns, corporate events, and CSR visibility initiatives.
  • Monitor public sentiment and support crisis communication efforts to manage reputational risks.

Qualification Required & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in marketing, corporate communications, or public relations.
  • Strong writing, editing, and message development skills across various media formats.
  • Experience with media engagement, campaign coordination, and stakeholder communication.
  • High ethical standards, sound judgment, and adaptability in dynamic communication environments.
