KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and implement scalable, full-stack solutions across web, mobile, and backend services.
• Develop and maintain secure APIs and microservices for fintech and enterprise integrations.
• Optimize performance, security, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Firebase, Azure).
• Collaborate with UI/UX teams to deliver user-centric, high-performance applications.
• Implement DevOps best practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless product lifecycle execution.

Responsibilities

Application Software Development

• Contribute to the development of existing and new applications by carrying out straightforward, well-defined basic programming, design, and coding activities under close supervision.

Applications Software Maintenance

• Monitor and identify software defects and suggest corrections for approval by more senior colleagues to maintain fully functioning applications software.

Design and Conceptualization

• Support others by performing prescribed design activities using existing procedures.

Technical Developments Recommendation

• Research and suggest technical developments to improve the quality of the website/portal/software and supporting infrastructure to better meet users’ needs.

Application Software Road Map

• Maintain a roadmap to facilitate application software development and ensure the development work is prioritized in line with business requirements.

Faults Diagnosis and Correction

• Provide initial fault isolation and propose resolution for approval by more senior colleagues to limit and address issues promptly.

Documentation

• Draft and maintain basic technical and/or user documentation to a high standard.
  
  

Testing Information Technology (IT) Performance

• Perform routine website/applications software tests and respond to user emails to monitor, diagnose, and correct performance issues.

Operational Compliance

• Develop knowledge and understanding of the organization's policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct to ensure own work adheres to those standards. Obtain authorization from a supervisor or manager for any exceptions from mandatory procedure.

Information Security

• Support implementation of required security measures, such as firewalls or message encryption, monitoring performance to notify security experts of any problems.

Horizon Scanning

• Explore and develop a basic understanding of external developments or emerging issues.

Data Collection and Analysis

• Produce accurate reports for others by collecting data from a variety of standard sources and inputting it into standard formats.

Analysis of "As Is" and "To Be"

• Support and contribute to the documentation of "as is" and "to be" processes and describe the changes required to migrate to the "to be" capability to record accurately the change required.

Technical Database Support

• Monitor and report on distribution of database resources and provide physical modeling and design services to tune database applications for optimum performance.
  
  

Qualification And Skills

• 3+ years of experience in Full Stack Development (React, Node.js, Flutter, Python, AWS/Firebase).
• Expertise in database management (SQL, NoSQL, Firebase) and API integrations.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and data encryption methodologies.
• Experience in cloud infrastructure, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and serverless computing.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience in fintech, InsurTech, or SaaS development.
• Design, code, develop, test and implement integration and supporting application development components and systems. Perform business analysis and software analysis. May coordinate projects and perform system maintenance activities. OML roles mapped to this profile are: Junior Platform Owner, Junior Programmer, OMF IT Programmer, OMF Junior Programmer and Developer.
