As an ICT Officer, you will maintain and improve TAGG’s ICT infrastructure, ensuring seamless system operations across all departments. You will troubleshoot technical issues, implement security measures, support system upgrades, and drive digital innovation to enhance efficiency.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be responsible for the following process:

ICT Management

  • Your responsibility is to follow the activities outlines in the process to ensure the process's quality objectives are achieved. Reference the ERP for information on the process and applicable documentation including standard operating procedures (SOPs), Forms, Guidelines and Checklists.

HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENT DUTIES

You will be responsible for the following HSE duties:

  • Assessing health, safety and environmental risks on the job
  • Knowledge of, adherence to and promotion of all TAGG’s OHS&E procedures and initiatives
  • Knowledge of the safe use of all tools and equipment as applicable and ensuring the same by all unit employees.
  • Strong Knowledge of relevant HSE principles
  • HSE Relevant training (Risk assessment and First aid)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Offer general ICT support to all departments of The Automation Ghana Group (TAGG)
  • Be responsible for the administration of the entire ICT setup of TAGG.
  • Be responsible for administering backups and ensuring the security of the ICT setup.
  • Provide advice on improving the company’s ICT setup
  • The employee shall handle ICT related projects / jobs, adhering to agreed procedures and standards. These projects / jobs include, but not limited to, the following
    • Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications
    • Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
    • Talk staff or clients through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the phone, to help set up systems or resolve issues
    • Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults
    • Replace parts as required
    • Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports
    • Follow diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system
    • Support the roll-out of new applications
    • Set up new users' accounts and profiles and deal with password issues
    • Respond within agreed time limits to call-outs
    • Work continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate)
    • Prioritize and manage many open cases at one time
    • Rapidly establish a good working relationship with customers and other professionals, such as software developers
    • Test and evaluate new technology
    • Conduct electrical safety checks on computer equipment QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Required Skills or Experience

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical/computer engineering or computer science or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum of one (1) year working experience in similar role
  • Certifications: Relevant technical certifications are an added advantage.

KNOWLEDGE

The ICT officer should have a good knowledge of how software and operating systems work as well as possess excellent knowledge in people management, project management and safety. S/he should have the desire to keep learning and updating his/her knowledge on latest ICT trends. S/he should have knowledge about the organization, its philosophy, industry, and customers, competitors, etc.

  • Must possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally in written responses.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB

  • Walk, stand or sit for long
  • Use arms and legs to control machines, equipment, or tools.
  • Speaking clearly enough to be able to be understood by others
  • Identifying and understanding the speech of another person
  • Travelling for long hours
  • Able to work from a height
