The Accra Institute of Technology (AIT), – a dynamic private university, is looking for a highly motivated individual for the following position: It specialist – campus network system administrator and computer lab support staff
The successful applicants will be part of a hard-working team in charge of the development, maintenance, and support of our campus network and computer labs for managing academic, learning, teaching, and administrative activities and functions of the university.
Required skills/experience:
Interested applicants must be competent in computer network system administrative tasks, including but not limited to:

- Troubleshooting and administering existing campus network infrastructure
- Building out new network and server infrastructure
- Assisting the help desk with more complicated problems/fixes
- Configuring and supporting users on the network system
- Regularly auditing configurations and systems
- Actively monitoring servers and the network for any issues.
- Anything else requiring your abilities and expertise as they arise.
Qualified candidates must also have the following skills and experience:
- 3+ years of experience building, configuring, and administering Windows 2008 and above servers.
- 3+ years of experience building, configuring, and administering Cisco routers and switches.
- 3+ years of experience building, troubleshooting, and repairing desktops and laptops.
- Ability to learn quickly, demonstrating the ability to be a self-starter, work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, and take ownership of work.
- CCNA or better certification. Preference will be given to those with Microsoft certifications also.
Qualification:
Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 3-5 years post-qualification work experience in a dynamic organization.
