Mova is an on-demand moving company designed to make moving and logistics simple, fast, and accessible. We connect users with reliable drivers, laborers, and transport solutions, empowering communities while addressing real logistics challenges.
We're scaling fast, and as we develop our Drivers App, Mobile App, and Admin Dashboard, we’re looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join our journey as the second backend developer on our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in shaping the core technology of a growing company.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with our existing backend developer to accelerate product development.
- Build and optimize backend systems for the Drivers App, Mobile App, and Admin Dashboard.
- Develop and maintain APIs that ensure seamless integration across platforms.
- Ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability of backend systems.
- Take part in decision-making for architecture and design to scale our platform.
- Contribute to Mova’s product roadmap, bringing your expertise to life in real-world applications.

What We’re Looking For
- Strong Proficiency in JavaScript, with experience in other backend languages such as Python, Ruby, or Java.
- Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and database design.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (Git).
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team while also taking ownership of tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
