A leading Container Terminal Operator with over 500 employees in Ghana is seeking to recruit qualified, competent and interested Engineers to fill the below position: Civil Engineer – Roads

Position Summary
We are seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer to manage and maintain the terminal’s electrical network, including overseeing backup power plant operations, implementing power plant upgrades and driving solar electrification projects. The ideal candidate will ensure the reliability, efficiency and safety of all electrical systems at the terminal
Reporting: Reports to the Project Manager and/or Assets Maintenance Manager

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance, repair and upgrades of te terminal’s electrical network to ensure uninterrupted power supply
- Supervise the operations of the backup power plant, ensuring its readiness and reliability at all times
- Lead solar electrification projects from the design phase through implementation, ensuring energy efficiency and sustainability
- Ensure compliance with all electrical safety regulations, standards and best practices
- Design and analyze electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and communication networks
- Calculate electrical loads, fault levels and ensure electrical designs meet all relevant standards
- Prepare and maintain electrical design documentation, including specifications, drawings and schedules
- Conduct energy-efficient lighting design, incorporating daylighting techniques where possible
- Stay up-to-date with relevant codes and standards, including National and international construction codes and sustainability rating tools such as Green Star
- Deliver high-quality written and oral communication, including technical reports and presentations
Qualification Required & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing large-scale electrical networks
- Proven experience with power plant upgrades and solar electrification projects
- In-depth knowledge of electrical system maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Strong analytical and project management skills
