The High Commission of Canada in Ghana seeks to recruit a Gender Equality Specialist.
Consultants applying for this position must have the following experience, knowledge and expertise
- A Master’s Degree or higher from a recognized university in one of the following relevant disciplines, international development, agriculture, agribusiness, gender studies, or a related subject (agricultural economics, development studies, sociology)
- A minimum of 10 years of practical experience in development work, at least 5 of which must be related to providing advisory services on gender equality and women empowerment.
The consultant should also have the following experience, knowledge and skills
- Demonstrated experience in providing advisory services on gender equality and related issues in programme delivery, preferably for a bilateral or multilateral institution
- Sound understanding of gender equality issues in Ghana's agriculture sector, including decentralized governance structures
- Excellent English writing skills
