Union Systems Global Limited (USGL) is a private limited liability company incorporated in Ghana in 1998 with an information, communications and technology (ICT) focus on Banking Application Software and value chain services in hardware and networks. Originally, it was named ‘Union Systems Ghana Limited’ and later changed to Union Systems Global Limited in line with our vision of being a dominant regional service provider with a global scope.
The company’s Head Office is in Accra Ghana with a staff strength of sixty-two (62) skilled professionals comprising permanent and contract staff, consultants and interns.
USGL has incorporated subsidiary companies in every client territory in appreciation of local content policy to optimize local expertise and resources. We operate Country offices in Freetown, Sierra Leone and Monrovia Liberia and provide first-level support to leading Banking clients using our X100+ Core Banking Application (CBA) and connected systems.
Job Description
React/PHP/NodeJs/SQL
Role
- Independently manage all aspects related to PHP/React/NodeJs/SQL development and support.
- Develop application in an PHP/React/NodeJs/SQL environment
- Customize generic PHP/React/NodeJs/SQL applications for customers and modify as necessary
- Maintain best practice development standards and maximize reusable code
- Consult on complex business issues and design considerations, data models and technical application framework
- Responsible for the identification and documentation of system requirements to enable the Technical Team to deliver the appropriate solution for successful transformation
- Participate in the development and execution of user acceptance test plans, as well as schedule testing of PHP/React/NodeJs/SQL apps and upgrades/new code implementations
- Create new documentation and processes as needed to help refine, optimize, and/or to establish best practice PHP/React/NodeJs/SQL development standards

Required Skills or Experience
Skills/Experience
- Education: 1st Degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related field
- Experience Length: At least 1 year of work experience after national service
- Development experience in React/PHP/NodeJs/SQL
- Should have developed more than 2 React/PHP/NodeJs/SQL applications from scratch.
- Should have integration experience in React/PHP/NodeJs/SQL Applications with third-party applications or systems.
- Should have strong experience in HTML5, CSS, JQuery, XML, JSON, JavaScript and Ajax.
- Should have experience in designing dynamic navigation menu
- Strong working experience in Oracle SQL, Advanced PLSQL, MYSQL and Progress OpenEdge
- Should know how to bulk update table from PHP/React collection
- Ability to deliver modern elegant web applications using a combination of PHP/React and JavaScript.
- Oracle PL/SQL/Java and Progress OpenEdge programming experience is a plus
- Experience in managing web page layouts with PHP/React templates and themes.
- Knowledge of web application usability trends
