The Water Resources Commission of Ghana invites applications from suitably qualified Ghanaians to fill vacant positions in the Head Office and its basin offices.
Job Purpose
To provide technical and operational support for the effective and efficient performance of the water management functions of the commission
Duties / Responsibilities
- Collates data for the formulation of policies
- Implements, monitors and evaluates to programmes and activities of the Directorate
- Develops and updates database on water resources
- Provides inputs for the development and management of water resources
- Develops and updates database on water resources
- Provides inputs for the development of research proposals
- Leads in the conduct of aquatic ecological surveys
- Develops, implements and reviews pollution control measures of water resources
- Manages the laboratory of the commission
- Prepares the annual and other periodic reports of the Directorate
- Supervises and appraises the performance of subordinate staff

Qualification Required & Experience
- A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Water Resources Engineering and Management, Hydrology, environmental science, water supply and environmental sanitation, chemistry or any other related discipline from an accredited tertiary institution
- Membership in a relevant and recognised professional body would be an added advantage
- A minimum of 4 years post bachelor’s degree relevant work experience in a reputable organisation
