We are seeking a skilled Java Developer with 2 to 5 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Core Java with J2EE concepts, and extensive hands-on experience in JSP, Servlets, Web services, and database management. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-performance applications, ensuring scalability and security. If you have a passion for coding, problem-solving skills, and experience in the banking domain or mobile app development, we would love to meet you.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Develop and maintain web applications using Core Java, J2EE, JSP, and Servlets.
- Design and implement RESTful and SOAP web services.
- Manage database connections using Oracle or SQL with JDBC.
- Work with web servers such as Tomcat Apache and WebLogic.
- Utilize core Java concepts including collections, strings, OOP principles, threads, exceptions, and hash mapping.
- Handle JSON/XML request and response processing.
- Ensure security implementations including SSL.
- Contribute to UI design and development using JSP and other J2EE components.
- Utilize GIT or other repository management tools for version control.
- Solve complex problems and provide solutions independently.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals.
- Maintain high standards of quality and efficiency in programming and development.

Person Specification
- Strong programming skills in Core Java and J2EE.
- Mandatory experience with JSP, Servlets, RESTful and SOAP web services.
- Proficiency in Oracle or SQL databases with JDBC connections.
- Experience working with Tomcat Apache and WebLogic servers.
- In-depth knowledge of core Java concepts including collections, strings, OOP, threads, exceptions, and hash mapping.
- Understanding of JSON/XML request and response.
- Familiarity with SSL, reporting, and UI design in JSP and J2EE.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of ISO8583 standards.
- Experience in mobile app development and/or banking domain is an advantage.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently on complex tasks with minimal guidance.
