Underground Mining Alliance Ltd. (“UMA”) is a Joint Venture between African Underground Mining Services Limited (AUMS) and Rocksure International carrying out underground development and production works for the AngloGold Ashanti (Obuasi) Mine.
Job Summary
UMA is seeking to offer an exciting one-year national service program designed to equip prospective National Service Personnel with the skills, knowledge, and exposure require to succeed in various carriers.
- Working with qualified and experienced industry professionals in a safe, dynamic and outcome focused environment
- Opportunity to develop your career through mentoring in an underground mechanised mining,
- Participate in and contribute to projects, tasks, assignments for skills development
- Participate in-person sessions to get acquainted with excellent procedures and systems,
- Work with diverse teams on a real-world project,
- Receive continuous feedback from experienced industry professionals to track your progress and identify areas of growth.
- Possibility of retaining for employment after successful completion of National Service with an attractive start salary with a fast-tracking promotion depending on performance.

PROGRAMMES REQUIRED
We invite applications from final-year undergraduates who are completing their degree programs in 2024 in the following and eligible to be enrolled for 2024-2025 National Service.
- BSc. in Geomatic Engineering
- BSc. in Environmental & Safety Engineering
- BSc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering
- BSc. in Computer Science & Engineering
- BSc. Data Science or Data Analysis
- BSc. in Mining Engineering
LOCATION OF UMA BUSINESS
Obuasi, 63 kilometres south-west of Ashanti capital city, Kumasi.
